Dr. Alicia Lieberman presented on how trauma affects young children’s brain structure and physiology and the impact of these changes on emotional, social, and cognitive development. The presentation also provided an introduction to Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) as an evidence-based treatment and described how CPP basic principles can be implemented across systems of care, including primary care, child care, home visiting, and the child welfare and judicial systems.
