Parental Mental Health during Pregnancy and Postnatal Period: The Impact on Attachment and Attunement
Please join us to explore this important topic with Dr. Gloria Castro. This presentation was part of TTAC's annual conference, Promoting 2-Generation Health during Infancy and the Perinatal Period: Synthesizing Clinical, Research, and Policy Perspectives, which explored cutting-edge research on the critical role of perinatal and parental mental health in fostering resilience and social-emotional well-being in infants and young children. The event highlighted four national experts as they presented a two-generation approach synthesizing clinical, research, and policy issues.
Participants of this session were able to:
- Describe how parents' early trauma history may affect how they experience pregnancy and the postnatal period
- Identify at least four risk factors of untreated parental mental health during pregnancy and the postnatal period
- Describe the concepts of Ghosts and Angels in the Nursery
