Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) consultants came together for a day of shared learning, reflection, and connection. Rooted Together invited both new and experienced consultants to revisit the essential foundations of their work while exploring fresh perspectives and deepening their practice. Through interactive discussion, case examples, and reflective activities, consultants strengthened the roots that sustain their work and nurtured the growth needed to meet today’s complex needs of children, families, early childhood, and medical professionals.

By the end of this training, participants were able to: 

• Identify and articulate the core principles and values that guide IECMH consultation across settings.
• Reflect on and strengthen their own consultative stance to enhance effectiveness with diverse partners.
• Apply strategies that support reflective practice and sustain the consultant's well-being.
• Integrate new insights from peers and current research to adapt consultation approaches to evolving challenges.
• Discover and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and resources to support IECMH consultation practice.
• Build connections with other consultants to foster ongoing professional support and shared learning.
